“Do you think Dr. Flora’s colon cleanser is a scam?”
Well, let me ask YOU a question. Dr. Floras claims to help you lose the “old waste matter” that’s supposedly stuck in your digestive tract, “scrape” your intestines clean and cleanse “toxins and buildup”. Based on what you already know about your digestive system do YOU think it’s a scam?
Basically, Dr. Floras is nothing we haven’t already seen a dozen times. There’s the high-fiber “cleanser”, the laxative-based “bowel regulator” and the bacteria-replacing probiotics. At the end of the day, this is just the same-old-same-o with a pretty yellow label slapped on.
We didn’t find a lot on the DrFloras.com site that bugged us although we did find one statement on their FAQ page we feel that should have addressed much differently. The web site claims that the “cleanse” is not a laxative and, if you were looking at just the cleanser itself, that would be true. However the “bowel regulator” most definitely contains herbs that act very much like stimulant laxatives. Primary among them is Cascara sagrada and aloe—both of which are not only caplable of causing cramping but which can also become addictive if taken for long periods of time.
Is DrFloras a scam? Well, we’ll leave that up to you.
